1. What was your previous degree? Master of Science in Sport Physiology from Texas A&M University
2. Where did you do your undergraduate degree? Texas A&M University in Nutritional Sciences
3. Why did you choose Texas A&M University? My focus wants to combine strength training and conditioning/ sports nutrition and Texas A&M University has allowed me to do this.
4. Why did you choose to major in Nutrition? I majored in nutrition because of the essential role it plays for optimal athletic performance and overall healthy living in combination with exercise throughout life.
5. Do you like living in College Station, TX? What is the best thing about living here? I absolutely love living in College Station because I am a small town guy and College Station still has that slower pace of life compared to the bigger cities like Houston/Dallas.
6. Who is your major professor? Dr. Stephen Crouse
7. What research are you doing? High-oleic ground beef, exercise, and risk factors for cardiovascular disease in postmenopausal women. Also, quantitatively illustrating the bone and body compositional changes in Texas A&M female basketball, softball, volleyball, swimming, and track and field teams throughout various seasons of training/competition. 8. What advice would you give to a student who is thinking about coming to Texas A&M? Come in with an open mind to learning new areas of nutrition. Texas A&M has an array of fields to study that there is always something new to learn and apply to your nutritional focus. Also, be prepared to be challenged.
