1. What was your previous degree?
My previous degree was a B.S. in Biomedical Science.
2. Where did you do your undergraduate degree?
I finished my undergraduate program at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.
3. Why did you choose Texas A&M University?
I chose Texas A&M University for graduate school because campus is an extremely friendly community, classes are close-knit and the education is excellent.
4. Why did you choose to major in Nutrition?
I have always been interested in nutrition, both for dietary habits and possible medicinal uses for certain foods.
5. Do you like living in College Station, TX? What is the best thing about living here?
I must like living in College Station, TX because I am still living here! I am a local and I think the best thing about living in this town is the caliber of the people that you meet. There are world-renowned researchers working here without the big city atmosphere. They are the best-kept secret in Aggieland.
6. Who is your major professor?
My major Professor is Dr. Bhimu Patil.
7. What research are you doing?
I wish to research the anti-cancerous properties of various antioxidants and their specific effects on caspase-initiated apoptosis systems.
8. What advice would you give to a student who is thinking about coming to Texas A&M?
It's a small world, so never gossip, never burn bridges and refrain from wearing orange. Everything will work out fine.
