| Texas A&M University has welcomed Interns since 1982, with 36 graduating classes to date. It is a two-part program combining graduate or doctoral studies on the Texas A & M campus in College Station with a general emphasis Internship at various rotation sites in Central Texas. Students may receive masters or doctoral degrees in Nutrition or Food Science and Technology. Upon completion of graduate studies, Interns relocate to Temple, Texas (approximately 90 miles from College Station) to complete the Dietetic Internship portion of the program (however, we do offer some rotations in the College Station area as well). Supervised practice sites include teaching hospitals, community and agricultural extension opportunities, outpatient clinics, consulting and entrepreneurial sites, and a variety of locations for institutional management experience. Successful completion of the Internship allows Interns to take the Registration Examination for Dietitians. |
